Issue 25: Closing 2024 with Clarity: Reflect, Recharge, and Realign for 2025

ISSUE 25

25 DECEMBER 2024 | READ ONLINE

Hi Reader,

As we approach the end of the year, it’s the perfect moment to hit pause. Not to plan (yet) or rush into resolutions, but to reflect.

After all, reflection isn’t just about looking back. It’s about recognizing the small steps, the unexpected wins, and the lessons that have shaped who you are today.

I posted my 2024 year in review over in the private podcast of Design Your Brilliant Future, along with four predictions for 2025 (members only – join here).

Before we step into 2025 with bold goals, let’s take a moment to honor 2024. Here’s a guide to help you:

Your 2024 Reflection Framework

  1. Scroll Through Your Moments
Open your phone, swipe through your photos, and let the moments speak to you. What made you smile, what made you pause? These snapshots are more than memories. They’re insights into what lights you up.
  2. Revisit Your Calendar
Your calendar holds the story of your year: the milestones, the chaos, the quiet wins. What stands out? What patterns are worth carrying into next year?
  3. Celebrate Your Wins (Big and Small)
A win isn’t always a headline moment. Often, the small, steady steps build the foundation for something bigger. Write down three wins that made you proud – no matter how small they seem.
  4. Honor the Challenges
Challenges aren’t failures. They’re the grit in your growth. What tested you this year, and what did you learn from it?
  5. Reflect on Your Values
Were your actions and decisions aligned with what matters most to you? Where did you feel in flow? And where did something feel … off?
  6. Recognize Your People
Think about the people who showed up for you or the ones you showed up for. Gratitude is a powerful connector.
  7. Review Your Impact
How did you make a difference this year? Whether it was supporting your team, mentoring a peer, or making someone feel seen, acknowledge the ripple effects of your leadership.
  8. Look Ahead with Intention
If you had one word to define your year ahead, what would it be? Let that word guide how you approach your decisions and challenges in 2025.

Your Word for 2025

Mine? Elevation.
For me, 2025 is about helping leaders like you elevate your purpose, your career, and your impact.

Thank You For Your Support

2024 was a year of big change for me. As the year winds down, I want to thank everyone who cheered me on for the past 6 months as I changed my career path.

Hitting reply to my emails and saying “hello, jumping on a discovery call for a chat, giving me feedback about podcast appearances and my foray into YouTube (ha ha).

All of this means the world to me.

Because you see, I am also walking the talk. I want to build a life and career that has meaning to me and impacts others positively.

So thank you.

With best wishes,

Megan.
