ISSUE 52
13 AUGUST 2025 | READ ONLINE
Hello Reader,
A shorter newsletter from me this week – it’s been a big one.
I’ve been:
- Editing a new YouTube video for you (here’s a link to my channel).
- Formally announcing the launch of my book (Clarity in Chaos).
- Talking with people about launch events and parties (contact me if you’d be willing to host one!).
- And I just started my ICF-accredited coach training program, which means I’m back in class two evenings a week.
Not bad, right? So here’s something quick, but powerful, that’s been on my mind …
Most people think big change starts with new goals, new strategies, or new tools.
But the real shift starts with who you decide to be.
And here’s the part no one tells you. That decision often requires letting go of the very things you’ve been praised for.
The skills you’ve mastered.
The roles you can play in your sleep.
The habits that made you valuable in the last chapter.
But might be holding you back in the next.
How to Build from Your Future Self (Not Your Past)
In my latest YouTube video, which I uploaded a few minutes ago, I share the moment I realized I was designing my business to match my current constraints. Instead of my future potential.
You’ll learn:
- Why making your vision smaller “for now” often costs you more later.
- The 80% elimination rule and why it’s harder (and more freeing) than you think.
- A simple lens for making decisions that your future self will thank you for.
🎥 Watch here → Big Goals Are Easier Than Small Ones. Here’s Why.
This Week, Try This:
- Write down one thing you’ve outgrown (a role, a habit, or a commitment).
- Ask yourself: If I were already the next version of me, would I still be doing this?
- If the answer is no, begin the process of letting it go.
You don’t need to do more, you need to align more.
Your future self isn’t waiting for a perfect plan.
They’re waiting for you to start making decisions as them – today.
See you next week,
Megan
