Issue 50: You Can’t 10x your Life by Doing More.

ISSUE 50

30 JULY 2025 | READ ONLINE

Hi Reader,

You’ve built a beautiful life on paper. Your calendar is full. Your inbox is never quiet. Your goals have goals.

But here’s the question that’s probably been circling quietly in the background:

“Why doesn’t it feel like enough anymore?”

I’ve felt it too. But I didn’t expect it to hit while I was hiking the cliffs near Cork, Ireland, last year.

There, between the wild wind and the crashing sea, I realized that I’d become incredibly good at doing things that no longer felt aligned.

That’s the moment I knew …

This version of success doesn’t fit anymore.

I know that voice.

I’ve heard it echo through coaching calls, keynote conversations, and even my own journal.

And recently, it got louder again as I revisited Dr. Benjamin Hardy’s 10x is Easier Than 2x. In his book, I found something that hit home:

You don’t transform by doing more of what already works. You transform by becoming someone new.

Hmm. Becoming someone new? What if I like who I am? What if I’ve worked hard (so hard) to become this version of me?

I hear that. Honestly, I do.

But here’s what I think Hardy actually means:

You don’t need to abandon yourself.
You need to stop negotiating with the version of you that’s already evolved.

Becoming “someone new” means changing your alignment.

It means letting go of the roles, habits, and identities you’ve outgrown. Yes, even the ones that brought you success.

It’s a soft but radical shift. From proving to choosing. From effort to energy. From external achievement to internal clarity.

So, this week, let me share three simple, powerful guided experiments.

You don’t need to get them all right.

You just need to try one, and then notice what happens.

1. Ask a better question

Swap “How can I do more?” for:

What would I stop doing if I fully trusted where I’m going?

What’s still on your plate because it once mattered (but no longer does)?

2. Identify the 80%

Hardy suggests 10x growth comes from eliminating 80% of what you’re doing now.

Try this: Open your calendar or to-do list. Cross out what you wouldn’t choose again. Let go of one thing. Just one.

3. Write from your future self

Imagine it’s a year from now. You’re clear. Energized. Fulfilled.

Write this: What did you walk away from? What did you finally admit? What changed everything?

Want to go deeper than journaling? I’m hosting a live workshop next week called “The Unwritten Chapter”.

It’s for high performers who aren’t lost, they’re just no longer willing to pretend that “achievement” equals alignment. More details 👇

In the meantime, remember that (according to Dr. Benjamin Hardy), 10x is easier than 2x. Yes, it’s counterintuitive, but give it a try and let me know what you think.

Best wishes,

Megan
